At Missions Inc., our commitment to fostering safe communities for healing and transformation drives us to continuously innovate and expand our services. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our groundbreaking Opioid Overdose Prevention Project, a significant step forward in our mission to support individuals and families affected by opioid use disorder.

Opioid Outreach & Education

With support from the Medica Foundation, we launched a pilot project focused on building the framework for opioid overdose prevention and intervention in our local community. Staff will engage program staff, residents, community members, emergency services personnel, and other stakeholders through listening sessions. These sessions will enable us to tailor our education and outreach initiatives to meet the specific needs of each community we serve. We will also be out in the community providing education and distributing naloxone. Stay tuned for more updates as this project evolves!

Becoming a Naloxone Access Point

In collaboration with the Steve Rummler HOPE Network, Missions Inc. has proudly become a Naloxone Access Point (NAP). Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, is a vital medication designed to reverse the effects of opioid overdose and potentially save lives.

As a NAP, we offer publicly accessible naloxone kits and fentanyl test strips free of charge. Kits are available at our Administration Office, Monday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Our address is 3409 E Medicine Lake Blvd, Plymouth, MN 55441.

Your Gateway to Life-Saving Supplies

We recognize that substance use disorders can carry a significant stigma, often preventing individuals from seeking help. That’s why we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable accessing the life-saving supplies they need. Whether you’re a community member or a client, we’re here to provide support and resources with compassion and respect.

Get Involved

If you’re interested in learning more about our Overdose Prevention Project or would like to attend one of our listening sessions, please reach out to Sarah Busch at sbusch@missionsinc.org.

Together, let’s make a difference in the fight against opioid addiction and ensure that every person has the opportunity to live a life free from harm.

Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this important initiative. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our communities.
