We are excited to congratulate Katy Daniels on her new role as Executive Director of Missions Inc. Programs.

In the 125-year history of the organization, Katy is the second woman and first openly LGBTQ individual to lead Missions Inc.

Katy’s history with Missions Inc. Programs started when she joined the organization as the first Program Manager of Missions Inc.’s transitional housing program for women, Hart House, when it opened in November 2001. She later was promoted to Resource Development Director and then to her most recent position of Associate Director where she oversaw Missions Inc.’s six programs.

Katy lives in Minneapolis with her wife Kathy and their dog and two cats and loves to spend her free time reading, enjoying the cinematic arts, science fiction, and basketball.

She is excited about this opportunity, its challenges and rewards, and is confident the Missions Inc. team will continue to work collaboratively to provide safety and healing for all our clients so everyone can have a bright future.

Former CEO Jim Steinhagen retired as leader of Missions Inc. in early January 2021.
