We recently celebrated the retirement of an incredible nurse, leader, and human — Sue Close

Sue joined Missions Inc. Programs in 2014 and spent 11 years serving our community as our RN Health Coordinator. In this role, she provided compassionate client care, medication monitoring, health advocacy, and medical-related training for staff, while coordinating nursing services across our programs.

Sue cared deeply for every resident, knowing each person by name and always leading with empathy and dedication. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she was nothing short of a hero. She helped staff and residents navigate an incredibly difficult time and never hesitated to put herself at risk to keep our community safe and healthy.

We celebrated Sue the best way we know how — with pizza, cake, ice cream, and even a malt mixer with all the flavors.

Thank you, Sue, for 11 years of extraordinary care and leadership. You will be deeply missed, and we wish you all the best in your well-earned retirement!
