How to donate masks
If you have masks and want to donate or you have supplies and are planning to start sewing masks, please contact Gen Lopez at firstname.lastname@example.org or 763-334-7905 to coordinate pick-up.
At this time, we're asking folks not to drop masks off at our campus for the safety of both you and our staff and residents. You do not need to leave your home to provide us these masks, we will come to you!
Bob Wagner, Storeroom Manager at Missions Inc., will pick up the masks from your home. We are only picking up masks within a 5 mile radius of our Plymouth campus. Once the pick-up is coordinated, please leave them on your front porch, apartment lobby or driveway at the appropriate time and Bob will stop by and grab them.
Please pack masks in paper bags or cardboard boxes, if the masks are stored in plastic bags they have to sit for longer before we can use them. In the bag or box please include a slip of paper with your name, phone number and address for our records.
As the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to evolve, our staff are continuing to work hard at creating a supportive space of healing for hundreds of people. While we are all sheltering in place, many of us are seeking ways to help our neighbors and the community. If you would like to help, Missions Inc. is accepting 100% cotton masks made by members of our community.
In these crucial times, the most helpful form of giving is through a donation. With your generous donation, you will provide support to the men, women and children who receive shelter, safety and support during this pandemic.
We will get through these tough times together by taking care of each other. Thank you!
Currently, no staff or residents are exhibiting symptoms of the virus. We are working continuously on plans to ensure resident and staff safety.
At this time, we are asking members of our Missions Inc. community to donate 100% cotton face masks that they have already sewn that they don’t have a place to donate. Alternatively, if you are a sewer with your own materials and are willing to help, we have provided a tutorial with instructions and the materials you’ll need.
How they will be used
The masks we receive will be used by staff in our facilities to protect them and residents as new residents are screened into the facilities and as residents and staff interact.
If a resident is found to have symptoms, they will be provided with a medical-grade mask. We are following the guidelines set by the Minnesota Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control.
Generous supporters have donated 100+ masks. Thank you! These donations will enable us to continue providing services to residents and clients as this crisis continues.
Thank you in advance for your help and support during this time.
